Things to do...

The Burren
The Burren is all things at once - rugged and wild, tranquil and serene, magical and mystical - such stunning contrasts. Take a walk on the beach, across the moonscape-like rocks, see wild flowers, touch megalithic tombs.

Cliffs of Moher, Doolin, Co. Clare
The Cliffs of Moher are one of Ireland's most spectacular sights. Standing 230 metres above the ground at their highest point and 8km long, the Cliffs boast one of the most amazing views in Ireland. On a clear day, the Aran Islands are visible in Galway Bay as well as the valleys and hills of Connemara.

The Aran Islands
The islands of Inishmore, Inishmaan and Inisheer make up the Aran Islands, and their rugged, natural beauty, thatched roof cottages dotting the islands, provide a splendid example of Celtic and early Christian heritage and gives one the impression that they have just travelled back in time.

Lahinch and Doonbeg for Golf
Situated in the North West Coast of Clare, Lahinch Golf Club is one of the world's classic links courses, a glorious setting, a rich history, superb natural terrain. With a pair of notorious blind holes, a ruined castle and goats that roam freely on the dunes, Lahinch provides a perfect setting for a round of golf.

This Greg Norman designed course, Doonbeg Golf Club plays along 1.5 miles of beach and dunes. The ocean is visible from the green, fairway, or tee of 16 of the 18 holes. "Sand dunes like you'll never see again, working hand in glove with the environmentalists."

Ailwee Caves, Ballyvaughan, Co. Clare
The creation of the Ailwee Caves began millions of years' ago, when this stunning creation of nature was formed by the melt waters of a prehistoric ice age. The cave, carved out of limestone, cuts into the heart of the mountain.

Coole Park, Gort, Co. Galway
Coole Park outside Gort in County Galway was the home of Lady Augusta Gregory - co-founder with Edward Martyn and W.B. Years of the Abbey Theatre. The area is also a National Nature Reserve due to its great wildlife importance - its native woodlands and turloughs.
